Peptalks2019

Welcome to the website of Peptalks2019. The theme of this first edition is:

Digital design and construction.

The event aims to gather professionals and students, who share an interest in the future of the built environment, particularly related to this year's focus on digital design and construction. At the center are the speakers, who hail from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain and Italy. Each has built an impressive portfolio in digitally fabricated and/or computationally designed structures and objects. Apart from offering opportunity to meet people and exchange ideas, the event will serve as a platform for the next generation of recent graduates, who are invited to compete for the Summum Thesis Award. The event is hosted and organized by Summum Engineering, who are celebrating their 2.5-year anniversary.

On Friday, August 30th, 2019, the event will start at Het Nieuwe Instituut (Museumpark 25, 3015 CB Rotterdam) with a

Symposium

featuring six inspiring, international speakers. More information about their talks can be found in the program.

The event will continue at Het Industriegebouw (Goudsesingel 66, 3011 KD Rotterdam) with a

Reception 

to celebrate the semi-lustrum anniversary of Summum Engineering.

During the reception a

Contest 

will take place, where the most innovative and inspiring graduation thesis will receive the Summum Thesis Award (and a prize of €500), and the most popular thesis among the public will win the Summum Audience Award. More information about the eight finalists and their thesis can be found here.
