Hans is a structural engineer at Witteveen+Bos, where he is manager of digital construction as well as the building engineering group. His current focus is the design and engineering of 3D printed concrete structures.
He holds a degree in civil engineering from the Saxion University of Applied Sciences. He worked at various engineering offices in the Netherlands and the Caribbean before joining his current firm. There he has worked on a wide range of projects of various materials and at different scales. He has recently been responsible for the engineering of the world’s first 3D printed concrete bridge in Gemert.
Jelle is the CTO of Aectual where he oversees robotic and software engineering, and tends to material and product development.
In addition, he is a co-founder of Odico formwork robotics, the first publicly traded architectural robotics company, as well as founding partner of EZCT Architecture & Design Research. The work of the office is widely exhibited, including at the Mori Art Museum, Archilab, Barbican Gallery, and Design Miami/Basel. He has taught and lectured at the Bartlett, the AA, Paris-Malaquais, ETH Zurich, TU Delft and Aarhus School of Architecture. Jelle contributes to open source software, including co-developing the CAD framework, PythonOCC.
She holds a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design and an MAS in CAAD from ETH Zurich. She previously worked at Herzog & de Meuron as an architect in the Digital Technology Group, responsible for writing customized parametric tools and developing complex geometries. She then took a position as researcher at the BRG, later as project architect and coordinator of the Beyond Bending exhibition at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale.
Stephanie is an architect and educator who combines digital fabrication with sustainable materials. She is co-founder of MuDD Architects which offers shotcreting by drones and earthen construction, and she is a PhD candidate at the UPC.
She holds a Master’s in Architecture from ENSAG and Master’s in EmTech from the AA. Stephanie previously worked for Bernard Tschumi Architects, OMA and Zaha Hadid Architects. She has taught at the AA, SUTD and University of Westminster. Her research has been funded by Innochain, and presented at ACADIA, IASS, ECAADE and DMSP. She was one of Icon’s 100 World Talents 2019 and won the 2017 Acadia emerging research prize.
David López López
He received a Master's in Architecture from UPM, a Master's in Building Technology from UPC and Master's in Structural Analysis of Historical Constructions. He obtained a PhD from the BRG, ETH Zurich. One of Map13's most striking works is the free-form thin-tile vault Brick-topia, a multifunctional pavilion designed with the help of RhinoVault.
He holds a Master's in Architecture from the Politecnico di Bari and a PhD in Architecture from Università Roma Tre. His research and professional activity concerns the areas of architectural design, architectural didactics, digital design and digital fabrication, with a specialization in the field of stone architecture. He has co-designed and exhibited several built prototypes, published articles and presented papers at international conferences.
